Leigh's HOT HOT HOT Party!

Today was the day of Leigh's Hot Party! We couldn't wait because we had so much fun last year and Patrick said it was going to be hotter than ever this year! Eloise and I were so excited to wear our new hot summer fashions from Leigh's our designer of choice for today was Michael Stars. I wore a super cute striped Michael Stars tank with bright orange DL 1961 shorts. I paired it with a bright colored Ben-Amun necklace. Eloise wore a striped Michael Stars maxi with an orange Narducci bracelet. There were so many great deals including 20% off your entire purchase and 10% off your cosmetic purchase. You can bet Eloise and I took advantage of those deals - really who can resist! There was also a DJ, lots of food, and my favorite...a bar!

Getting some drinks from the hot bar!
Eloise getting some delicious food.
Hot cookies! ;)
Getting a frozen yummy from Patrick Plank, the devilish bartender!
As we browsed through Leigh', we found so many cute outfits and met some amazing people. The DJ, Adrian Butler, was playing some awesome music and I couldn't help but turn on the charm and flirt a little bit! Unfortunately, Eloise leaned over and shared that Adrian is engaged....figures!
Trying on some hats by the Havaiana display.
I think the DJ could tell I was a little tipsy...he asked about the bump on my head!
Eloise's husband might get a little jealous! Grarrr!
We ran into several of our friends that model for Leigh's. Of course they looked fabulous! We also chatted with some of the awesome sales staff. We even ran into Megan, the previous intern!

Visiting with our friends...we're envious of their job! But, frankly, I think we have what it takes!
Trying on some HOT masks
Pat and Allison wore the same dress...can't blame them, it's super cute!
With Megan!
We found so many great outfits!
We had so much fun at the party! We can't wait until next year's party! Check back Saturday when Eloise and I go to the Art Festival in downtown Grand Rapids!

Adventures at John Ball Zoo

Today Lola and I decided to take a trip to John Ball Zoo. We couldn't wait to see all of the animals running around in the new exhibits! Of course, we took a shopping trip to Leigh's to find a super cute outfit! I wore blue shorts, a cute striped tank top layered with a casual blue shirt by Vince.  I also wore a fabulous bracelet by Ben-Amun. I met up with Lola, and of course she would wear a Rachel Zoe animal print dress to the zoo! I told her that just because we were going to the zoo doesn't mean she had to wear animal print. She insisted that the animal print might attract all the hot single dads, but I told her the only thing she might attract are the baboons!  She was not thrilled with my comment in the slightest and I got the silent treatment for next 15 minutes!

We made our way through the zoo and our first stop was at the aquarium. There were several cute penguins swimming around! We couldn't help but take our picture with them.

Look at the cute little guy swimming behind us!

We then stopped to look at the beautiful fish. Even they couldn't help but stare at our fabulous outfits!

We couldn't help but attract the colorful fish!
Look at how great our outfits looked in front of the water!

After walking through the aquarium, we decided to visit Monkey Island. There was one monkey who couldn't keep his eyes off of us! He was very curious and watched us the whole time. He must not be used to seeing such fashionable ladies at the zoo! I told Lola her animal print dress worked, she finally found a man! And this monkey was much cuter than the baboon option!

After visiting the rest of the zoo, we stopped in to explore the new gift shop. We found so many great souvenirs! We were told we were the perfect models for the hats...we took that as a compliment. They had a ton of stuffed animals just like the animals at the zoo. Lola decided on a cute, cuddly elephant while I chose a bright pink flamingo.

Our great souvenirs!

We had so much fun hanging out at the zoo! We were even invited back later this summer to check out the new funicular tram! We can't wait to go back again.

An Afternoon at Gaslight Village

The weather has been beautiful the past few days so Eloise and I decided to enjoy the great outdoors and visit Gaslight Village in East Grand Rapids. I decided to wear my super cute, a bit sassy and sexy, maxi dress from Leigh's! I chose my black and white Donna Morgan dress with an orange B-Low the Belt and a Ben-Amun orange bracelet. I met up with Eloise and guess what she was wearing?! A maxi dress from Leigh's! We obviously are best friends and in sync with each other's good taste. She was wearing a Michael Stars teal dress with a beautiful Pink House beaded necklace, and a fabulous High Fashion neon yellow clutch.
Don't we look great?

After admiring each others outifts (we couldn't stop staring), we headed over to Gaslight Village for a bite to eat and a relaxing afternoon. We wanted to take our picture overlooking the village, but we had some trouble getting up the stairs - both our legs were a little stiff from our morning run. Luckily, a couple of wonderful ladies offered to give us a hand. Lo and behold, they love Leigh's just like us! We also had help from the newest Leigh's interns, Lindsey and Sarah, fashion merchandising majors from CMU... they're starting to grow on us!  Of course, we know we will end up adoring them - they're fashion girls like us!

Here we are with Sarah

While walking around and enjoying the sunshine, we couldn't help but notice all of the people staring at our amazing outfits, at least thats what we hope they were staring at and not our pastey pre-summer skin (please note, however, we don't have any wrinkles.  Lack of sun exposure does have its benefits)! One lady commented on how great we were at posing. We responded by saying, "It just comes natural!" We received so many wonderful comments on our outfits. We reminded everyone that maxi dresses are for any age and great for any occasion - they're so versatile! They also loved the bright neon colors of our accessories, esspecially Eloise's clutch. Neon is so in right now and we're determined to get the word out. We love the neon pieces at Leigh's, and we hope to see some of our new friends in there soon!

Striking a pose for all of our admirers.
After walking around and meeting new people, we realized we hadn't eaten lunch yet. What better place then Olga's Kitchen! Eloise and I love going there whenever we visit Gaslight Village.

Yum!

I decided to mix up my order and get a grilled chicken Olga, while Eloise ordered her usual turkey club Olga. We were so hungry we ordered a basket of snackers for an appetizer. They were almost gone by the time we got the rest of our food! Everything was so delicious we could hardly eat it all.

My delicious grilled chicken olga!

After spending almost the whole day outside, you'd never be able to tell! We are still looking a little pale. I reminded Eloise that it's still May and we have the whole summer to work on our tans, with the help of our new interns, Lindsey and Sarah. We are super excited for all of the adventures we have planned this summer and of course we will be wearing more fabulous clothing from Leigh's!
